2023

Celebrated 100 years as Martin Reformed Church

2019

A beautiful narthex expansion was completed adding gathering space, restrooms, a welcome center, and a car port changing both the look and feel of the building.

1990s

A new building addition complete with a fellowship hall, nursery, kitchen, dedicated youth room, and gymnasium was built in order to accommodate a growing church and its community functions.

1971

On June 6th, the church moved out of downtown Martin to the building still being used today. The Bell that is displayed in front of the current building dates back to 1871 and is from the original church.

1970

Ground broke on the new site. The design included a sanctuary that would seat 425-450 people. Soon after ground breaking, the arches were set in place pointing heavenward.

1948

The congregation had grown to 129 communicant members including 60 families.

1946

An organ and restrooms were added to the church building.

1930s

A basement was added to the church building.

1923

On July 24th, the Presbyterian Church reorganized to officially become Martin Reformed Church, a congregation of the Reformed Church in America.

Martin Reformed Church began with 44 total members, 33 received by letter of transfer and 11 by profession of faith.

On August 17th, a consistory of 3 elders and 3 deacons was formed and communion was served for the first time.

Original church building was built.

1842

A Presbyterian Church was formed in Martin.
